Junior Content Creator & Social Media Coordinator

About the Role
We’re looking for a creative and organised part-time Junior Content Creator & Social Media Coordinator to help bring Sola’s artistic vision to life online.
You’ll be supporting an artist with decades of experience in the global music industry — a percussionist, composer, and genre pioneer now stepping into his own spotlight. His new album launches a bold musical movement: Black Atlantic Funk — a fusion of funk, jazz and classical orchestration, rooted in Yoruba heritage and shaped by a lifetime of global collaboration.
This is a chance to be part of a project that’s more than just music — it’s a rhythmic journey through culture, migration, and identity. You’ll work closely with an experienced Marketing Director (13+ years in senior creative agency roles) to produce and manage short-form content that carries this vision across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.
We’re looking for creative thinkers and visionaries who can help move the overall vision of the project forward while delivering strong, consistent content execution.
This role is remote, freelance and part-time. Applications from all over the world are welcome.
Responsibilities
Edit, and prepare short-form video content (Reels, TikTok, Shorts) for multiple platforms (most content will be produced and provided to you for editing)
Adapt content for platform-specific formats, specs, and trends
Prepare engaging captions, hashtags, and publishing schedules
Upload and schedule posts to Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts
Monitor and manage community interactions (comments, DMs)
Stay up to date on trends, formats, and best practices in short-form content
Coordinate with the Creative Director to ensure content aligns with overarching brand strategy
Support occasional content shoots (depending on location)
Support in building a network of creative collaborators across social channels for potential collaboration opportunities (visual, musical)
Skills & Requirements
Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts
Basic to intermediate video editing skills (CapCut, Premiere Rush, Final Cut, or similar)
Knowledge of social media best practices for reach and engagement
A creative eye for visuals, storytelling, and brand voice
Organised, self-motivated, and able to manage deadlines
Basic project management skills (keeping content calendars up to date)
Willingness to learn and take creative direction
Previous content creation experience (personal projects or internships welcome)
Fluency in English speaking and writing
Nice-to-Have
Experience with Canva, Adobe Suite, or other design tools
Photography and/or videography skills
Basic knowledge of analytics and performance tracking
Rate
Part-time / freelance, paid monthly
Entry-level role, £11-15 per hour dependent on experience
Final agreed rate and scope will include a set number of posts + several hours per month for additional tasks such as:
Trend/creative research
Light creative brainstorming
Simple content sourcing (e.g. reference clips, imagery, potential collaborators etc.)
